Nick Schofield specializes in the seismic and field interpretation of intrusive and extrusive sequences in volcanic terranes and their interaction with hydrocarbon systems.  He has over 10 years’ experience working on the Atlantic Margin and has secured over £400k of research funding since 2011, He has 20 plus peer reviewed papers, incl. of Geology. He is an expert in Atlantic Margin geology, seismic interpretation and interaction of volcanics with Petroleum Systems. He is a leader in Intra-Basaltic plays. He has 7 full time PhD students all working on Atlantic Margin Geology. He is the winner of numerous academic and industrial awards, and won the DG Roberts/Peter Ziegler prize for best paper at the 8th Petroleum Geology Conference of Northwest Europe for a presentation on key exploration challenges along the Atlantic Margin.
